Gold Coast, Queensland Tour And Travel | Travel Information

Name        : Gold Coast
Location   : Queensland
Country    : Australia
This location is very beautiful and stunning highly inappropriate for a family vacation who want to travel.

HISTORY
Lieutenant James Cook became the first European to note the region when he sailed along the coast on 16 May 1770 in the HM Bark Endeavour.

Captain Matthew Flinders, an explorer charting the continent north from the colony of New South Wales, sailed past in 1802. Escaped convicts from the Moreton Bay penal settlement hid in the region. The region remained largely uninhabited by Europeans until 1823 when explorer John Oxley landed at Mermaid Beach, which was named after his boat, a cutter named Mermaid.

The hinterland's red cedar supply attracted people to the area in the mid-19th century. The western suburb of Nerang was surveyed and established as a base for the industry. Later in 1875, Southport was surveyed and established and quickly grew a reputation as a secluded holiday destination for the upper class Brisbane residents.

In 1925, tourism to the area grew rapidly when Jim Cavill established the Surfers Paradise Hotel, which transformed to Hard rock cafe and Paradise Towers a resort apartment complex. The population grew steadily to support the tourism industry and by the 1940s, real estate speculators and journalists were referring to the area as the "Gold Coast." The true origin of the name is still debatable. The name was officially applied to the area in 1958, when the local government area covering Southport and Coolangatta was renamed "Gold Coast", although the urban area and the local government area have never had the same boundaries.

During the 1970s, real-estate developers gained a dominant role in local politics, and high-rises began to dominate the area now known as Surfers Paradise and later in 1981 the airport was established.

In 2007, Gold Coast overtook the population of Newcastle, New South Wales to become the sixth largest city in Australia and the largest non-capital city.

Sandy Beach in Venus Bay Tour And Travel | Travel Information

Name        : Sandy Beach
Location   : Venus Bay
Country    : Venus Bay
This location is very beautiful and stunning highly inappropriate for a family vacation who want to travel.

Description

Sandy Beach is a popular leeward beach is about 1,200 feet long and is great for getting away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and laying out on the golden sands. A wide and expansive beach, Sandys is nice for swimming when the waves are very small, but most often there is a pounding shorebreak that creates very dangerous conditions for novices. Do not swim when the shorebreak looks dangerous because it is, and extreme injury may result.

Great For

Body boarding and body surfing for the experienced only! Sunbathing and Beach Walks. Kite-flying on the big grass lawn fronting the beach. Swimming only when the water is calm.

Not looking to boogie board? On cloudy days it’s likely the sun will be shining at Sandy’s. That gives it a high rating for sunbathing and people watching. The trade winds keep it comfortable so make sure you apply plenty of sunblock. Typically a half-hour of bare skin exposure in Hawaii sunshine and you’re burned. On windier days sunbathers may get a little sandblasted. Bring a kite and join the kite flyers on Sandy’s grass apron.

Highlights

This lovely golden sand beach is great for relaxing, and is very close to Waikiki. If the waves are large it is truly awesome to see the local experts at bodysurfing and bodyboarding as they navigate the often treacherous shore break waves.

pleasures of winter in the mountains of Victoria Tour And Travel | Travel Information

Name        : mountains of Victoria
Location   : Australia
Country    : Australia
This location is very beautiful and stunning highly inappropriate for a family vacation who want to travel.

Why Go There

The capital city is Melbourne, Australia's most cosmopolitan city.... current population 3.7 million. It is the sports capital of Australia hosting everything from all four football codes, Formula One car racing, ATP tennis tournaments and the Melbourne Cup horse race to name just a few. Melbourne is considered by many to be the food and fashion centre of Australia.

Much of Victoria comprises ranges of hills and mountains, extending from the Victorian Alps in the north east, the Grampians in the west and the Dandenongs and Macedon Ranges on the outskirts of Melbourne. The coastal areas are unique and range from the spectacular erosion profiles of the 12 Apostles in the west to the Gippsland Lakes to the east. The heartland has rich farmlands producing wines and fruit for the world and gourmet trails for the locals and visitors.

Victoria is not big by Australian standards so travelling times are not as intrusive as with some of the other states.  You will find just about everything from beaches to high snow country, large lakes to white water streams, spectacular coasts to rugged mountains, fishing trawlers to paddlewheel steamers, vineyards to vegetables, modern casinos to historic sites, rock climbing to shopping malls. This is a very diverse and easy-to-enjoy part of the world.
  Visit Famous Nature

The state of Victoria is the size of about 237,000 sq km, which is a bit smaller than the UK and the same size as Minnesota. It offers plenty of scenery, of which the Great Ocean Road is the most famous, attracting seven million visitors a year. This statistic is amazing considering that the whole population of Victoria barely tops five million! Almost one-fifth of Victoria's total area is protected. Over one-third of its area is covered in forest and there are a total of 36 national parks. If you want to experience scenery at its finest, look no further. This scenery add-on will deliver.

Explore the Rugged Alps

Victoria includes the southern part of the Great Dividing Range, Australia's longest mountain chain. Part of the Great Dividing Range is made up of the Australian Alps, which include Australia's highest mountains and form much of Victoria's eastern part. The highest peak is Mt. Bogong which is just a few metres short of 2,000 m. To experience this area for real, you need a 20 m mesh, which gives you all of the realistic mountain details.
this place is very beautiful and menabjukkan. if anyone here would not have been able to forget. do not deny that many domestic and foreign tourists are very impressed after visiting this place. and they want to return to this place for their holidays.

hayman island Tour And Travel | Travel Information

Name        : hayman island
Location   : Queensland
Country    : Australia
This location is very beautiful and stunning highly inappropriate for a family vacation who want to travel. This location is ideal and will never regret after the visit.

A WARM WELCOME BACK TO HAYMAN
We are delighted to announce that Hayman has re-opened.
Our much-anticipated re-opening on 1 August followed five months of extensive restoration on the island, which was severely impacted by Tropical Cyclones Anthony and Yasi early this year. This period of closure enabled us to complete the repairs required to landscapes, guest and accommodation areas, activity facilities and essential infrastructure as well as undertake other planned projects.
In the surrounds of the resort, a new botanical garden abounds with some 33,000 new plants and 327 new plant species having been introduced by respected landscape designer, horticulturalist and personality, Jamie Durie, who was engaged to replant our 16 hectares of gardens. With an amazing variety of colours and perfumes emanating from the landscapes, guests will be sharing this beautiful setting with the native birds, butterflies and wildlife who have returned to their island home.

In keeping with our culinary tradition, innovative restaurant concepts are being presented in our Azure beachfront restaurant and the new Nic Graham-designed Fontaine, which is set to become Australia’s signature resort restaurant, whilst the much-loved Oriental and La Trattoria restaurants feature new-look menus and other surprises.
The Hayman Activities hub has been upgraded and features new floodlit tennis courts in addition to other extensive sports facilities plus a personal training room. This is also the new starting point for our re-laid Hayman walking trail.
Hayman Spa will continue to offer the amazing Ocean Massage floating on the Coral Sea waters plus many more indoor and outdoor treatments and therapies.
And there will once again be a variety of adventures by water and in flight to all parts of the Great Barrier Reef.
We also now truly unveil the new fabulous Kerry Hill-designed Beach Villas, which offer an amazing beachfront lifestyle, whilst the private ownership offering of Hayman Private Residences and Hayman Marina Residences continues to generate considerable interest.

Hayman Island tours and activities are endless. This Whitsunday island resort provides easy access to the Great Barrier Reef. Guests can relax in the refreshing swimming pools, including the famous Hayman pool which is 7 times Olympic size. Hayman's stunning beach hugs the resort and is great for swimming, catamaran sailing and windsurfing. The crystal clear waters surrounding Hayman island, are a kaleidoscope of coloured coral and tropical fish making this ideal for diving, snorkeling and visits to secluded beaches.
Hayman Island is a continental island of some 294 hectares, rising to 250 metres at its highest point. The resort is located on the southerly shore fronted by a sweeping sandy beach and surrounded by 14 hectares of lush tropical gardens. A variety of birds inhabit the island, such as White cockatoos, painted lorikeets, kookaburras and kingfishers. Guests may catch sight of Haymans colony of Proserpine Rock Wallabies during an island walk and experience the natural bushland and Australian flora and fauna.
Surrounded by idyllic coral fringed beaches and lapping waters of the Coral Sea, on the western side of the island, Hayman offers beautiful resort living in 228 contemporary rooms, suites, penthouses and a villa. The accommodation on Hayman Island is situated in a number of wings including the Pool, Palm, Lagoon and Beach Wings - all featuring private terraces or balconies. Hayman also offers 11 uniquely themed penthouses.
